Austin Wedding at Mercury Hall

Wedding Coordination in South Austin

It was such a pleasure getting to meet this amazing couple as they tied the knot in August.  Brittany & Randy are the essence of fun, life, and love.  Every moment of working with them to coordinate their wedding was a joy and to see the love that was evident in the room at their wedding was a beautiful thing to experience.  Britt and Randy were married on August 18th.  Their reception was at Mercury Hall in South Austin.  It was a night full of great friends, good food (and cake including the groom's PB&J cake complete with a glass of spilled milk!), and plenty of laughing and dancing!  Here are some of the images by Heather Banks with Eclectic Images Photography:

Creations Inspired by Favorite Fall Treat!

Fall Wedding Inspiration, Fall Wedding Design

I have a weakness for Pumpkin Patch Truffles from Godiva. It is a seasonal truffle, so when the weather cools and the leaves change color (though you don't always see these changes in Texas or Hawaii where we are located, so you go by the calendar!) I start craving this yummy treat! With the truffles currently available at a Godiva retailer, I was inspired to incorporate them into a wedding design, wedding cake design that is!

Fabric as Wedding Inspiration

Wedding Inspiration and Design

There are so many different elements that brides use as their wedding inspiration.  I love hearing what inspired any of my brides to select their wedding venue, color palette, theme, etc.  Inspiration can come from the dress (the dress definitely must take a part in the style of your wedding day), location/venue, favorite colors, pictures (Pinterest if proof that pictures play a large part in inspiration), special moments and dates, family heirlooms, favored vacation spot, movies, and on and on.  One method of inspiration I find unique is fabric.  There are so many different textures and colors.  In wedding design fabric can be a tangible accent to your style as well as a source of inspiration.

As an example, I selected a fabric from Hobby Lobby online and created an inspiration board from nothing more than the colors and design in the fabric swatch.  Here is what I came up with:

Fabric as Wedding Inspiration

If you find yourself stuck on wedding style or design, I recommend taking a trip to your local fabric store and just walking through the aisles; you never know if something will jump out at you.  For additional wedding inspiration, contact us at info@vintageandlace.com.
